JOY OF READING BOOK CLUB

 

The YAF Joy of Reading Book Club is a reading club for youth ages 11 to 15, students who just want to read for the fun of reading. There are no tests, just a lively discussion with refreshments and fun.

 

How often does the Joy of Reading Book Club meet?

The YAF Joy of Reading Book Club usually (but not always) meets on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of every month at 6:30 PM in the Youth Achievers Foundation conference room (106).

 

Do I have to buy each Book of the Joy of Reading Book Club is reading?

Nope! All books are free and yours to keep.

 

What happens if you don't finish the book in time?

YAF Joy of Reading Book Club book discussions are always more fun if you finish the book, but if you don't, please still come!

 

What if I don't like the book?

Of course you don't have to "like" every book. Please come to the book discussion and tell us why.

 

How are the YAF Joy of Reading Book Club books selected?

The YAF Joy of Reading Book Club "Book of the Month" books are usually critically acclaimed, prize winners, or popular titles nominated by the youth in the program. Chosen books most often relate to school aged students and are reviewed by the Youth Achievers Foundation staff and Adult Volunteer.

 

How do I join the YAF Joy of Reading Book Club?

You may sign up at any time between March 23rd and April 8th. All you have to do is commit to attending that month's meeting.
